CalltoLocal exists to remove the layer between you and the local who actually knows — a guide, a doctor, a lawyer, a mechanic — and to keep that directory useful long after any trip ends.
Why we built it
Every travel platform we used had the same shape. You search, you find someone who looks right, and then you fill in a form that goes to an agency. Two days later a price comes back that is far above what the guide will actually receive.
The guide gets a fraction. You get a delay. Nobody involved is happy with the arrangement except the layer in the middle.
CalltoLocal starts somewhere else. You find a verified local, you see what they charge, and you contact them directly. What they quote you is what they receive — and because the relationship is direct, the person who answers is the person who will do the work.
The first version of this idea was a guide directory. Then we noticed the same traveller needed a doctor two days later, and that the residents of those cities needed a plumber, a tutor and a lawyer all year. The platform is the same either way: find a trusted local, call them.
