United Arab Emirates
Desert, skyline and free-zone paperwork

The place
Half of Dubai's CalltoLocal demand is business setup, the other half is desert and skyline. Both are covered by Arabic and English-speaking locals.

Practical
What the locals here get asked before anyone books anything.
DXB sits inside the city and the metro runs from its terminals along the main spine, from Deira down to the Marina. The metro covers the length of Sheikh Zayed Road well and everything off it badly, so most journeys end up part rail and part car.
The skyline half — Downtown, the Marina, the beaches — is the one on the postcards. Old Dubai across the creek, the gold and spice souks and the abra crossings, is the half that people are surprised by. A guide who knows both will not spend your day only in the first.
Company formation, free-zone selection, visa and licence paperwork make up much of what is asked for in Dubai, and it is the kind of thing where an hour with someone who does it weekly saves a fortnight. The business locals listed here quote for the consultation, not for the outcome.
