Safety
CalltoLocal verifies the people it lists and publishes their real contact details. It does not stand between you and them — so it is worth knowing exactly where our checks stop.
Three checks, and a profile does not go live until the ones its category requires have passed.

Guides, doctors, lawyers and teachers show a licence or registration number, and we verify it with the body that issued it.
Required for anyone who enters a home — handymen, cleaners, pet sitters and IT callouts.
A badge means we saw those documents and they were valid on the date shown. It is not a guarantee about any particular job, and it does not make us responsible for the professional judgement of an independent expert.
We are not a party to what you agree with a local. The service, its price, its timing and its quality are between the two of you — that is the trade for reaching them directly with no margin added.
Payment is arranged directly between you and the local. CalltoLocal does not hold funds, process payments or act as an escrow agent, so there is no platform balance to claim against if something goes wrong.
The Terms & Conditions are what bind, and they say this in full.
The badges say what was checked. Reviews are written by people who used the service, and the response time is measured, not claimed.
For anything that is not a callout to your own address, a café or a hotel lobby costs nothing and settles a lot.
Rates are on every profile. We are not in the middle of the payment, so what you agree with the local is the whole agreement — get it in writing on WhatsApp if it is a large job.
Tell us if someone is not who their profile says they are, will not honour a price they agreed, or made you feel unsafe. We suspend or remove a profile that fails re-verification, that misrepresents its credentials, or that receives credible safety complaints — and a report from you is how we hear about the last of those.
If anyone is in immediate danger, call your local emergency services first. We are a directory, not an emergency service.
