Plain-language terms covering how CalltoLocal works and where responsibility sits.

01What CalltoLocal is

CalltoLocal is a directory. We verify local experts — guides, doctors, lawyers, tutors, technicians and others — and publish their profiles, services and contact details so you can reach them directly.

We are not a party to the agreement you make with a local. The service itself, its price, its timing and its quality are agreed between you and them.

02What verification covers

Before a profile goes live we check:

Government photo identification, matched against the profile photo.
Professional licences or qualifications where the category requires them — medical registration, legal practising certificates, tourism-board guide licences.
Background checks for categories involving entry to a home.

Verification tells you we checked those documents on the date shown. It is not a guarantee of the outcome of any particular service, and it does not transfer professional responsibility to us.

03Using the platform

You agree to:

Give accurate information when you enquire or register.
Use listed contact details to arrange services, not to send unsolicited marketing.
Not scrape, resell or republish profile data.
Treat locals professionally, as we ask them to treat you.

For local experts

If you list on CalltoLocal, you confirm that the credentials you submit are genuine and current, that you hold any insurance your category requires, and that you are legally able to provide the services you advertise.

You set your own prices. During the introductory period CalltoLocal takes no commission on work you agree directly with a client. When commercial terms begin, they will be published in advance and capped — never applied retroactively or deducted without notice.

05Payments

Payment is currently arranged directly between you and the local expert. CalltoLocal does not hold funds, process payments or act as an escrow agent. When in-platform payment is introduced, the terms covering it will be published before it goes live.

06Liability

We take care to keep listings accurate, but we do not warrant that every detail is current at every moment, and we are not liable for the acts or omissions of an independent local expert.

Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

07Removing a listing

We may suspend or remove a profile that fails re-verification, that receives credible safety complaints, or that misrepresents its credentials. Locals may remove their own listing at any time by contacting us.

08Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Nepal. Final governing-law and dispute-resolution provisions will be confirmed in the launch version of this document.
